Green Lotus Digital: The Prelaunch!

Hey everybody.

Michael Knox here and this is the inaugural post for this blog -- considering we are officially in our prelaunch of Green Lotus Digital.

For the sake of time I'm going to keep this short, raw and transparent.

Ready for some truth?

Only the people closest to me know that for the past few years I have been waiting for this day to come and now that it's here I have mixed emotions.

Planning out this business is something that I have put my heart, soul, literally hundreds of hours and countless dollars into.

Despite all of that -- I still feel like there is more that I should be offering at the time of launch. You see, I had a perfect vision in my head of having every "t" crossed and "i" dotted however (in reality) I still have a lot of work to do until the vision aligns with what I have created in reality.

The website templates, fonts and social content are good to go (with more on the way) but the membership platform is still a few weeks away from completion.

However, after a conversation today with my best friend I realized that waiting on perfection when something is already exceptional is about as absurd as it gets.

...fact is -- there will always be something that needs to be added, updated and/or maintained so there is no telling how long I would have told myself to wait.

Shortly after we hung up the phone my 'aha' moment.

Although I have been working with clients behind the scenes it dawned on me that all of the delay was nothing more than fear.

...fear of getting something that I put my heart (and every good intention in my body) into seen -- and possibly rejected -- by so many.

The most profound thing I have learned throughout this process is that you can easily overcome fear by taking deliberate action towards your goal.

With that -- I have pushed back the official launch for a few weeks in lieu of a "pre-launch" now because getting this out of my mind and into the world has been a long time coming.

Welp! Back to work for a few more hours. Living the dream doesn't exactly manifest itself -- it requires your input -- but I wouldn't have it any other way.
